Harold Franklin Boyer, 76, of De Soto died Oct. 20, 2025. Mr. Boyer worked for Bodin Aluminum as a pattern rigger for 42 years before retiring. He loved playing his harmonica, fishing, camping, being outside, shooting pool, watching the TV show Bad Chad and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Born May 11, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Mich., he was the son of the late Harold Bernard Boyer and Silvia Boyer.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Jo Ann (Mature) Boyer of De Soto; a daughter: Velina Boyer of De Soto; a grandson: Craig Kopp of Hillsboro; a granddaughter: Kayla King of Arkansas; four great-granddaughters: Kaylen Kopp of Hillsboro, Natalie Kopp of Hillsboro Camron Kopp of Hillsboro and Alexis King of Arkansas; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Daniel Boyer; and two sisters: Brenda Boyer and Sandra Nash.
Services will be private. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of Missouri, 211 N. Broadway, Suite 2035, St. Louis, 63102. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
