Gloria Jean (Grossmann) Coble, 77, of Hillsboro died April 17, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Coble devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse and was known for her compassion, professionalism and dedication. She loved tending to her flowers, watching Cardinals baseball and, most of all, spending time with her friends, family and pets. Born Aug. 29, 1948, in Belleville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Peters) Grossmann.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Gene Coble.
She is survived by a daughter: Barbara Schuette; a son: Dr. Mark Coble; a brother: Gary Grossmann; three grandchildren: Lieren (Schuette) Gardewine, Briana Schuette and Kristen (Schuette) Braun; and two great-grandchildren: Brooks and Noelle Braun.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel, in Hillsboro.
