Crismon, Freddie

Freddie L. Crismon, 92, of House Springs died July 18, 2026. Mr. Crismon was known as a hard worker who spent his career as a machinist, retiring from American Can Company after 45 years of service. He loved NASCAR and enjoyed attending flea markets. He also liked tinkering with engines and especially loved spending time with his children when they came to visit. Born Jan. 1, 1934, in Vienna, he was the son of the late Fred and Sadie (Bremer) Crismon.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Sandra Carol (Smith) Crismon.

He is survived by five children: Sandy (John) Meyer, Sharon (Gene) Hoffman, Darrel (Tina) Crismon, Rhonda (Keith) Weir and Gerald Crismon; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother: Donald (Darlene) Crismon; and numerous other family members and friends.

He also was preceded in death by an infant brother: John F. Crismon; three sisters: Vada Wilson, Louise Albertson and Ethal Beck; and two sons-in-law: John D. Hoffman and G. Keith Weir.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Interment will follow immediately in Chapel Hill Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
