Franklin H. “Frank” Miller, 85, of Hillsboro died March 26, 2026, in St. Louis. Mr. Miller was an aircraft engineer and worked for 35 years at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, where he was recognized for his skill and commitment. Outside of his career, he was a Missouri master gardener emeritus. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was on the golf course, casting a line while fishing or enjoying a hunting trip. Most of all, he loved being a dad and a grandpa. He enjoyed spending time playing cards with friends, sharing laughter and stories, and was known for his good sense of humor. He will be remembered for his warmth, dedication and joy. Born Feb. 1, 1941, in Newburg, he was the son of the late Henry and Nancy (Roach) Miller.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Norma Lee Miller.
He is survived by two children: Rusty (Angelica) Miller and Amy Miller; two grandchildren: Ethan Miller and Ayden Miller; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 4–7 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at Good Shepherd Church, 703 Third St., in Hillsboro. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to Kress Farms in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel.
