Dorothy Mae “Dottie” Knight, 91, of Herculaneum died Jan. 10, 2025, at Scenic Nursing Center in Herculaneum. Ms. Knight loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an active member of the Hematite First Christian Church. She also enjoyed playing bingo and traveling. Born Aug. 16, 1933, in Stoddard County, she was the daughter of the late Emma (Aslin) and Joe Mooney.
She is survived by two children: B.J. (Linda) Knight of Herculaneum and Andy (Sue) Knight of Pevely; 10 grandchildren: Tina, Heather, Heath, Chasity, David, Danny, Cameron, Jake, Daniel and Elizabeth; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Wilford Goad.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. An additional visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Hematite First Christian Church, 3711 Hwy. P, officiated by Pastor Phil Bradford. Burial will follow in Hematite Christian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hematite First Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
