Donna Carol Ross, 78, of Arnold died Aug. 13, 2025, at de Greeff Hospice House in Sappington. Ms. Ross grew up on a farm in Coon Island and was a 1965 Neelyville High School graduate. Her favorite pastimes were going to thrift stores, traveling, reading her Bible and spending time with family, especially her granddaughter, whom she loved showing off in pictures. She was known as a caregiver to those in need. Born May 17, 1947, in Poplar Bluff, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Thelma (Foust) Hager.
She is survived by a daughter: Tonja (Anthony Italiano) Ross; a granddaughter: Fiona Italiano of St. Louis, MO; a brother: Darrell (Phyllis) Hager of De Soto; a niece: Angela (Michael) Greenleaf of Newnan, Ga.; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Gerald Ray Hager.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a memorial service at noon Thursday, Aug. 21, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services, 1100 Iron Bridge Road, in Poplar Bluff, officiated by Pastor Steve Patterson. Burial will take place in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services.
