Masson, Donald

Donald E. Masson Jr., 61, of Cedar Hill died Jan. 23, 2025, in Creve Coeur. Mr. Masson worked as a truck driver and was a member of the House Springs Lions Club and Teamsters Local 682. He also attended Morse Mill Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Harley and attending Rat Rod shows. Born Dec. 4, 1963, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late JoAnn (Appel) and Donald E. Masson Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Deborah (Gillman) Masson of Cedar Hill; five children: Ashlee Masson of Washington, Haley Masson of Washington, Brian Bingaman of Cedar Hill, Britteny (Dave) Crump of Cedar Hill and Brett (Drew) Bingaman of Warrenton; five grandchildren: Prudence Masson of Washington, Connor, Cayde and Deklan Bingaman, all of Cedar Hill and Connor Crump of Cedar Hill; a sibling: Lisa M. (Calvin) LaBoube of Herculaneum; a brother-in-law: Bill (Kathy) Gillman of Union; a mother-in-law: Janet (Bob) Gillman of Dittmer; a father-in-law: Beril (Linda) Gillman of Illinois; an aunt: Sue Barnes of High Ridge; two uncles: John (Tammy) Appel of High Ridge and Tom Mueller of Hillsboro; 10 nieces and nephews: Ron (Tricia) Schilling Jr., Dakoda, Landon and Alyssa Schilling, all of House Springs, Austin D. LaBoube of Pevely, Amanda (Colin) Groves of Kansas City,  Melissa (Dave) Francis of St. Louis, Garrett Gillman of St. Louis, Shannon (Andrew) Winter of Eureka, Kristen (Mike) Simpson of St. Louis; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: John and Bernie Appel.

A memorial gathering is scheduled from noon until a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Morse Mill Baptist Church, 6955 Hwy. B, in Dittmer, officiated by Pastor Rich Grayson. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutchens Mortuary and Cremation Center in Florissant.
