Darlene R. Schlett, 84, of De Soto died March 17, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Schlett worked at the De Soto Shoe Factory, was a retired custodian for Grandview School District and also worked at Jefferson Square Cleaners. Born June 3, 1940, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Wilson and Grace (Pigg) Wilson McKeen. She was the stepdaughter of the late Jack McKeen.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Andrew “Andy” Schlett.
She is survived by a daughter: Elaine Schlett of De Soto; a son: Daniel (Christine) Schlett of De Soto; three grandchildren: Felicia, Dustyn and Jarod; and two great-grandchildren: Tayla and River.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Karl Schlett.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Terry Crank. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
