Brian Dean Ashby, 52, of Denver, Colo., died Feb. 9, 2025. Mr. Ashby attended Fox C-6 schools and graduated with honors from Truman State University before attending law school at Washington University in St. Louis. He was a member of Mensa. He enjoyed traveling, listening to music, playing trivia, cooking, reading and spending time with friends and family. He loved sharing his stories of knowledge and culture. He will be remembered for his warmth and curiosity. Born Dec. 11, 1972, in Globe, Ariz., he was the son of Bobbie (Ken Bohlmann) Ashby of Arnold and Bill (Vickie Boren) Ashby of Oakville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his friend and housemate: Jaclyn Causey; his two pet dogs: Charles and Ernest; his special “cuz”: Cynthia Frost; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Mike Ashby; and grandparents: Doris and Gene Ashby and Josephine and Abb McClellan.
All are welcome to a celebration of life that is scheduled from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Reivers Bar and Grill, 1085 Gaylord St., in Denver, Colo., 80209.
