Ogilvy, Billie

Billie J. Ogilvy, 81, of Arnold died Aug. 29, 2024. Mrs. Ogilvy was a caregiver and raised her daughters, helped raise many grandkids and was the babysitter for many neighborhood children. She was a woman of faith and loved Jesus. She also spent many years working with her husband running the bookstore at the church she attended. Born March 16, 1943, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Edward John and Teresa Jane (Benedict) Iler.

She is survived by her husband: Robert Gene "Bob" Ogilvy; five children: Lynda (Dave) Werner, Cynthia Wood, Vickye Roberts, Karyn (Jeffrey) Kaiser and Dana (Terry) Williamson; 14 grandchildren: Bradley (Holly), Bridget, Elizabeth, Heather (Andrew), Kimberly, Kellie (Gary), Kristen, Brittni (Tim), Brooke, Jonathan, Kassidy, Kyra, Ryan (Alexandra) and Michael (Kathleen); nine great-grandchildren: Lucian, Gary, Ashton, Nora, Edward, Zackary, Kaylee, Amir and Isaac; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild: Lauren; and two siblings: Donald (Sue) Iler and Jon (Mary) Iler.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Arnold VFW. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
