Haddock, Betty Sue

Betty Sue Haddock, 63, of Patton died Dec. 3, 2023, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Ms. Haddock worked as a waitress at the Travelers Cafe for many years and later as a caregiver to her mother. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and puzzles. She also enjoyed rendezvous and Civil War reenactments with her loving companion, Kenneth. Born April 12, 1960, in Hartsville, Tenn., she was the daughter of Mary Olive (White) Booker.

She was preceded in death by her companion: Kenneth McKee.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by six sisters: MaryAnn Hornaday of Indiana, Norma J. Haddock of Indiana, Barbara L. Ellis of Indiana, Cindy Johnson, Anna M. (Patrick) Guay of Missouri and Mary (James) Davis of Missouri; two brothers: Don R. (Jill) Haddock of Indiana and James E. (Patricia) Booker of Missouri.; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a stepfather: James E. Booker Sr.; and a brother: James R. Haddock.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday Dec. 7, at Ford & Liley Funeral Home, 44555 Hwy. 51, Unit B, in Patton. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday Dec. 8, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Otis Long. Burial will follow at Rowland Woods Cemetery in Patterson. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Ford & Liley Funeral Home.
