Betty Ann Kavanagh, 75, of De Soto died July 23, 2026. Mrs. Kavanagh enjoyed traveling, hiking, reading, listening to Christian music and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her caring nature, support, kindness and gentle presence. Born April 26, 1951, in Brownsville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Stella (Nichols) and Willie Archer.
She is survived by her husband: Paul Kavanagh of De Soto; four sons: Douglas A. Kavanagh of De Soto, Matthew J. (Hannah) Kavanagh of Wesley Chapel, Fla., David T. Kavanagh of Williston, N.D., and Paul M. Kavanagh of De Soto; a brother: Douglas Archer of Brownsville, Tenn.; three sisters: Shelby Helton of Hornsby, Tenn., Linda Brandsoy of Festus and Cathy Overby of Tennessee; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Cecil Archer, Willie Archer and Daniel Archer; and five sisters: Joan Smith, Caroline Stuart, Janie Winkle, Helen Archer and Barbara Wynn.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Wednesday, July 29, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Ryan Sutton. Entombment will be in Peaceful Ridge Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to BJC Hospice, 670 Mason Ridge Center Drive, Suite 300, St. Louis, 63141.
