Benjamin Travis Bourbon, 50, of De Soto died Sept. 9, 2025. Mr. Bourbon was a dedicated employee at the De Soto Walmart. He was known for his love of life. He found joy in the simple things like playing horseshoes with friends, listening to his favorite music, hitting the golf course, cheering on his favorite teams and spending time outdoors. Born June 11, 1975, in Festus, he was the son of Jimmy W. Bourbon of De Soto and Betty S. (Parmer) Bourbon of De Soto.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons: Dawson T. Bourbon of De Soto and Thomas M. Conway of Florida; two brothers: Keith W. (Janet) Bourbon of Potosi and Christopher S. (Jennifer) Bourbon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister: Natasha Y. (Scott) Davis of De Soto; four nephews: Keith (Kirsty) Bourbon Jr. of Hillsboro, Dustin (Jennie) Sandefur of Potosi, Jimmie (Desiree) Bourbon of Potosi and Kaleb Davis of De Soto; a niece: Kendall Davis of De Soto; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Janet M. Bourbon.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. today, Sept. 16, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to a college fund set up for Dawson at ugift529.com/gifttpl/ugift/create/viewGiftCodeDetails.cs and use code T2E-M2Y.
