Barry L. French, 77, of Bonne Terre died May 7, 2024, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. Mr. French was a truck driver. Born Sept. 30, 1946, in St. Louis City, he was the son of the late Esther A. (Johnston) and George E. French.
He is survived by his wife: Lorraine Jane “Lori” (Atkinson) French of Park Hills; four children: Deanna French of Springfield, Shannon (Johnny Baxter) Schopp of Bonne Terre, Melissa (William) Willis of Valles Mines and John (Shannon Smith) Schopp of Valles Mines; three siblings: Bob (Gayle) French of Crystal City, Dale (Carol) French of Herculaneum and Veronica (the late Dave) Shoults of Festus; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two siblings: Steve French and Donna Dollar.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Park Hills Assembly, 1104 N. St. Joe Drive, in Park Hills, officiated by Jeremy Jones. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
