Barnard Parks, 73, of Festus died Nov. 5, 2025, at his home. Mr. Parks served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of VFW 3777 and Amvets 42. Born Dec. 6, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Gladys Marie Stauder and Joseph Ivan Parks.
He is survived by his wife: Donna S. (Lalumandier) Parks; two sons: Jack (Carmen) Harris of St. Louis and Christopher (Jennifer) Parks of St. Louis; four grandchildren: Cole Harris, Kayley Parks, Henry Parks and Maxwell Parks; and a sister: Debra Marie Lorina of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by three siblings: Jo Bennett, Bobby J. Parks and Wilma Joyce Jacobs.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 4 p.m. until services at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Terry Crank. Interment with full military honors is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to any veterans’ organization of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
