Armella Genevieve Bahr, 101, of Crystal City died Dec. 24, 2023, at Delmar Gardens – Meramec Valley in Fenton. Ms. Bahr was a manager at the Glassworker’s Credit Union. Born April 11, 1922, in Ste. Genevieve, she was the daughter of the late Elsie (Ehler) and Oscar Fallert.
She is survived by four children: Jane (David) White of Festus, Lester “Butch” (Mary) Hogenmiller of Wentzville, Timothy Hogenmiller of Festus and Scott (Kristine Strada) Hogenmiller of Fenton; a brother: Jerry (Shirley) Fallert of Gahanna, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Jenny (Dan) Goodman, Randy (Jessica) Renfro, Melissa (Raz) Alubaidy, Holly (Mohemmed) Aldhebaiei, Connie (Jeff) Buckman, Brad (Amanda) Hogenmiller, Paige Hogenmiller and Brooke Hogenmiller; and 15 great-grandchildren: Omar, Abraham, Yousef, Saeed, Jennah, Briana, Drew, Emily, Breckyn, Parker, Finn, Jack, Madeline, Ethan and Evelyn.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Lee Ann (the late Richard) Renfro; and three siblings: Lynn Alice (the late Louie) Bauman, Stanley (the late Rita Mae) Fallert and Franklin Fallert.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Our Lady Church, 1550 St. Mary's Lane, in Festus, officiated by Fr. Stephen Lian. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
