Beavers, Alvin

Alvin Dale Beavers, 92, of Arnold died Jan. 26, 2026, at the St. Louis VA Hospital. Mr. Beavers enlisted at age 17 and served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953 in Korea, attaining the rank of corporal. He went on to work as a truck driver and later became an owner/operator. He was a devoted Evangelical. Born Oct. 2, 1933, in Teresita, he was the son of the late Reva (Hopkins) Beavers and Jess Beavers.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years: Joyce (Duncan) Beavers.

He is survived by three children: Karen Beavers (Kevin) Harmon of Hillsboro, Roger (Dana Brewer) Beavers of Arnold and Michael Beavers of Arnold; seven grandchildren: Laurie Lewis of De Soto, Kristen Hayes of Hillsboro, Kayla Barton of Sullivan, Tyler Beavers of Moscow Mills, Austin Beavers of Hillsboro, Leslie Hegger of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Alyssa Jones of Fenton; 10 great-grandchildren: Gabriel and Joshua Lewis,  Arianna, Natalie and Levi Hayes, Kaiden and Briar Barton, Michelle and Brooklyn Beavers and Gracie Beavers; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Chaplin, Carl, William, Lyle and Charles; two sisters: Evelyn Waggoner and Elene Michel; two half-brothers: Clinton and Kenneth Thomas; and a grandson: Keith Harmon.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Interment with military honors will be in Sandy Baptist Church Cemetery in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
