Alice Ann Meyer, 78, of Warrenton died Feb. 25, 2026, at New Florence Care Center in New Florence. Mrs. Meyer was a member of Faith Christian Family Church in Warrenton and a past member of In Hymn Ministries. She loved fellowship, going to lunch with friends and shopping. In her younger years, she enjoyed working as a beautician. After starting a family of her own, she decided to start babysitting, which she did for many years. She also worked alongside her husband for many years while they owned IGA from 1986 to 2004 at the service counter. She loved to cook, especially Italian food, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Born May 5, 1947, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Louis Armenti and Dorothy Gurlin.
She married Dean Robert Meyer on Nov. 6, 1971. Together, they shared 54 years. He died on March 23, 2026.
She is survived by a son: Michael (Nancy) Meyer of Warrenton; two granddaughters: Madison (fiance Andy Tate) Meyer and Paisley Meyer; a grandson: Ethan Meyer; a great-grandson: Tucker Leake; and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, 63383. Arrangements are under the direction of Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton.
