Darla Catherine Fallert, 73, of De Soto died April 6, 2023, in De Soto. Mrs. Fallert grew up in Festus, where she attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, and graduated from Festus Senior High School. She was a homemaker and a day care provider. She was quiet and private, but also is remembered for her courage, wit and strong faith. Born Nov. 6, 1949, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaus “Stanley” and Wilma (Rosener) Siebert. She was preceded in death by her husband: Michael Fallert.
She is survived by one child: Shawn Fallert of De Soto; five siblings: Sharon (Mal) Surrency of Lakeland, Fla., Beverly (Howard) Drennen of Kissimmee, Fla., Rita (Ronnie) Dunn of St. Louis, Kenneth (Glenda) Siebert of Festus and Kieth Siebert of Festus; three grandchildren: Jocelyn Fallert, Jessie Palos and Taylor Brannaker; and two great-grandchildren: Harrison and Simon. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Renee Fallert.
A memorial service will be held later. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
