Nathan L. Elling, 42, of Hiawassee, Ga., died Dec. 10, 2018, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. Mr. Elling was a truck driver for DQ Transport. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Amvets Post 48. Born May 15, 1976, in St. Louis, he was the son of Janet (Cage) Elling of Hillsboro and Raymond (Doris) Elling of Carlyle, Ill.
In addition to his parents and stepmother, he is survived by his wife: Janice (Conner) Elling; two children: MadeLynn Elling of Chaffee and Nathaniel Elling of Hiawassee; a sister: April (Jeff) Blackwell of Arnold; and a grandson: Harper Keller.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Thursday, Dec. 20, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
