Naomi Octivia Heatherly, 57, of Mitchel, Ill., formerly of Arnold, died June 18, 2015, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mrs. Heatherly was a bar manager for the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 1126 in Granite City, Ill., for 19 years. She enjoyed Nascar, fishing, camping and gardening. Born June 6, 1958, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Rachel Naomi (Nelson) Millikan of Barnhart and the late Oliver G. Millikan. She was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur Heatherly.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister: Venus Ann (Daniel) Millikan Fuchs of Barnhart; three brothers: Claude (Cindy) Millikan, Clay (Susan) Millikan and Clayton Millikan, all of Barnhart; 14 nieces and nephews: Jennifer (Ralph) Morehouse, Kimberly McCrea, Zhasmenda Millikan, Olivia Carroll, Heather Millikan, Fran (Nick) Sarber, Sarah (Ryan) Shaw, Deanna (Greg) Petrovic, Jessica Millikan, Jodi (J.R.) Garrett, Josephine Millikan, Drew Millikan, Brandi Mazur and Derek (Nikki) Sides; 20 great-nieces and nephews; a many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Jerry Dale Nelson; and her fiancé: Dan Franko.
A memorial service is being planned for July 18 at the Eagles Lodge in Granite City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of American Mortuary and Cremation.
