Michael Ray “Mike” Nash, 62, of Alton, Ill., formerly of St. Louis, died Dec. 18, 2018, at the Jefferson Barracks VA Hospital in St. Louis County. Mr. Nash was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Open Door House of Praise in Jerseyville, Ill. Born May 4, 1956, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Mary Ann (Colbert) and Clarence Walter Nash.
He is survived by a daughter: Jennifer Nash of Festus; six brothers: Brady Lawder of St. Louis, John Young of Florida, Dale (Lynda) Sargent of Los Angles, Calif., Duane Lawder of Alton, Ill., Joseph G. (Angela) Nash of Hendersonville, N.C., and Neil Young of Ozark,; two sisters: Connie Nash of St. Peters and Joyce Ann (Donald) Hill of Alton, Ill.; and one grandchild: Kendal.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program, #1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, Building 51 Unit 51 East, SARRTP, St. Louis, 63125. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
