Melinda Gail Pullen Byers, 64, of Crystal City died April 8, 2021. Mrs. Byers enjoyed art, reading, practicing her faith and spending time with her friends and family. Born Nov. 13, 1956, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Glennon and Patricia (Tucker) Pullen.
She is survived by a sister: Roxanne Collier; a son: Robert (Shanna) Higginbotham; a stepson: Jeremy (Gina) Byers; a daughter: Cheryl Higginbotham; nine grandchildren: Megan, Nicole, Mylee Josh and Kalee Higginbotham; Kenzi and Kaden Tali and Makayla and Marissa Murdock; and three lifelong friends: Noelle Church Michler, Kim McCormick Woodworth and Kevin Byers.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Richard G. Collier.
Private graveside service will be held at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
