McKenna Marie Templeton, 18, of Festus died March 19, 2021, in Ste. Genevieve County. Ms. Templeton was a senior at Festus High School. She was very active in the band and in softball, and had been teaching herself to play the trumpet, ukulele, saxophone and piano. Most of all she loved spending time with her friends, family, and her cats: Cleo and Ace. She was born Feb. 25, 2003, in Festus, the daughter of the late Brandon Rutledge Templeton and Megan Catherine Pratt.
She is survived by her grandparents: Deanna (Randal) Sackman of Festus, Mark (Dana) Templeton of Festus and Richard (Carol) Pratt of Omaha, Neb.; her great-grandparents: Doris E. Pratt of Farmington, James (Patsy) Templeton of Festus and Gene Cooper of Crystal City; a brother: Ryan Leimberg of St. Louis; a sister: Isabelle Leimberg of St. Louis; an aunt: Amanda (Charles) Escamilla of Temecula, Calif.; two uncles: Mitchell Pratt of Ste. Genevieve and Ryan (Trish) Pratt of Crystal City; her cousins: Tristian Jackson and Kyrian Jackson of Temecula, Calif.; her boyfriend: Nate Carron of Festus; her best friend: Cheyenne Dickens of Bonne Terre; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents: William S. Pratt, William (Marilyn) Rutledge, Rebecca Cooper and Mary K. (Harry L.) Boetler.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. Memorials may be made to Good Life Pet Rescue, 74 Francois Dr., Herculaneum, 63048. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
