Matthew Schuermann, 59, of Festus died July 3, 2022, in St. Louis. Mr. Schuermann was a longtime member of the Lions Club. He was always smiling and enjoyed making people laugh. Born April 8, 1963, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Betty (Wolpers) and Richard Schuermann.
He is survived by two siblings: Geri Bateman (Schuermann) of Festus and Liz Holyfield (Schuermann) of Cedar Hill; two nephews: Richie and Alex Schuermann, both of St. Louis; his longtime friend: Jodi Atkisson; and his dog, Riley. He was preceded in death by family members Mary Teresa and Bernie.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Michel Funeral Home in St. Louis.
