Mary Rose (Drummond) Vallo, 62, of De Soto died June 29, 2020, in De Soto. Mrs. Vallo was theco-owner of Drummond Florist in De Soto. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto, the Daughters of Isabella and the Columbian Anns. Born March 8, 1958, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of Gladys R. (Krodinger) Drummond of De Soto and the late Frederick Burda Drummond.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: Anthony P. Vallo of De Soto; a daughter: Leslie A. (Nick) Marchetti of De Soto; a son: Grant R. (Natalie) Bowen of Festus; three stepdaughters: Jessica (Bryan) Hicklin of Farmington, Jamileigh (Steve) Milne of Imperial and Jacquelyn (Adam) Baker of Imperial; three sisters: Julie (Wayne) Ott, Donna (Terry) Reando and Theresa Wilkinson, all of De Soto; a brother: Fred (Kim) Drummond of De Soto; and 17 grandchildren: Sophia, Nicholas, Parker, Chandler, Kaden, Charlie, Payton, Griffin, Josi, Landon, Lillian, Logan, Lainey, Liana, Collin, Jayden and Tatum.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Joe Drummond; and a niece: Evelyn Drummond.
A prayer service was held July 3 at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. Burial was in the Calvary Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to “Adopt an Angel,” St. Rose Catholic School, 523 S. Fourth St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements were under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
