Mary Louise Casey, 67, of Crystal City died Feb. 27, 2020, at Scenic Nursing Center in Herculaneum. Mrs. Casey was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Festus and a former kindergarten and speech teacher at Twin City Christian Academy in Festus. She was a member of the St. Louis Tres Dias community. A licensed practical nurse, she was the co-founder and administrator of the My Place Residential Home in Festus, and My Place Too Residential Home in De Soto, as well as a member and past secretary of the Missouri Assisted Living Association. She was born Jan. 27, 1953, in Iowa, the daughter of the late Annabel (Manley) and Granville Franklin Blake.
She is survived by her husband: the Rev. Randy Casey; a son: James (Renee) Casey of Crystal City; “special son and daughter” Joshua (Bobbie) Ly of Festus and Laura (Adnan) Rekic of Herculaneum, along with their children: Austin Ly, Dane Blase, Benjamin Rekic, Josiah Ly, Amelia Rekic and Caleb Ly; a sister-in-law: Raye Blake of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: John Blake; and a nephew: John Blake.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Visitation is at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Faith Baptist Church, 11835 Hwy. CC, in Festus, officiated by the Rev. John Piet. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Living Springs Camp, C/O Second Baptist Church, P.O. Box 88, Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
