Mary Katherine Davidson, 84, of Crystal City died June 16, 2016, at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Herculaneum. Mrs. Davidson was a beautician and owner of the Modern Way Hair Salon in Crystal City for 31 years. She enjoyed traveling and talking about St. Louis Cardinals baseball with her customers. She was born Dec. 4, 1932, in Tiptonville, Tenn., the daughter of the late Edgar and Girdy (Nunnery) McCummiskey.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Carles (J.B.) Davidson.
She is survived by a son: Timothy (Cynthia) Davidson of De Soto; two grandsons: Christopher (Christal) Davidson of De Soto and Andrew (Michelle) Davidson of Oakville; and four great-grandchildren: Brenden, Kelsey, Payge and Wyatt Davidson.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, June 20, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Carl Thomas. Burial will be at De Soto City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9374 Olive Blvd., Suite 101, St. Louis MO 63132. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
