Margaret Catherine Gannon, 83, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., formerly of Festus, died Nov. 4, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Gannon was a longtime member of Our Lady Church in Festus, and loved singing in the Our Lady Choir. She was a retired secretary for Southwestern Bell Telephone and AT&T in Festus. Born July 12, 1936, in St. Genevieve, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Catherine (Bauman) Kraenzle.
She is survived by her husband: Jack Gannon; a son: David Garrett of St. Louis; a granddaughter: Christine ( Garrett) Reisereichier; two great-grandchildren: Ava and Cain:a sister-in-law: Marcella Kraenzle of St. Genevieve; nieces and nephews Bob and Jan Kraenzle, Dave and Karen Kraenzle, Paul and Paula Burle, Ron and Patty Burle, Tom and Cindy Burle, Pat and Leo Lawson, Jean and Brad Fisher and Clete Kraenzle; several great-nieces and -nephews; lifelong friend Jeanne (Charlie) Miller of Barnhart; her Arizona caregivers, including Lorna Angeles and Eugene Jimenez; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two husbands: Howard Garrett and Jack Ross; a sister: Rita (the late Oswald) Burle; and two brothers: Edgar (Doris) Kraenzle and Cletus Kraenzle.
Funeral Mass was held Nov. 11 at Our Lady Church in Festus, officiated by Father Mathew Cheruparambil. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Church Choir Fund or to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Ariz. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
