Lloyd R. “Rocky” Boyer Jr., 64, of De Soto died April 25, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Boyer was a mechanical engineer and worked for Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and most recently AECOM. He was born June 29, 1955, in Bonne Terre, the son of the late Edna (Schoellkopf) and Lloyd Raymond Boyer Sr.
He is survived by four children: Lloyd R. “Boogie” (Melissa) Boyer III of Crystal City, Nicky (Darren) Politte of De Soto, Todd Boyer of St. Louis and Samantha (DeAndre’) Fisk of De Soto; three siblings: Donna Boyer of De Soto, Gary “Stretch” (Stacy) Boyer of De Soto and David Boyer of Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren: Brittany, Autumn, Ethan, Riley, Marissa, Abigail, Taylor and Darren; and two great-grandchildren: Reese and Piper.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
