Leon Vincent Wulfers, 93, of Crystal City died Jan. 12, 2021, at his home. Mr. Wulfers owned L&R Furniture and the Crystal Cue Club. He was a member of American Legion Post 253 and the Festus-Crystal City Elks and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City for more than 50 years. Born March 22, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, he was the son of the late Anthony Wulfers and Opal (Toon) Wulfers.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Ruby E. Wulfers.
He is survived by four daughters: Pamela (Steven) Portell of Crystal City, Cynthia (Bryce) Alexander of Glendale, Ariz., Lisa Wulfers of Crystal City and Angela Fix of St. Peters; two sisters: Bertha Ann Bahr of Rolla and Marie Felter of Florida; two grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by six siblings: William, Joseph, John and George Wulfers, Dorothy Miller and Sylvia King.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Mahn Funeral Home, 515 Collins Drive, in Festus. Services will follow at 11 a.m., officiated by Father Mathew Cheruparambil. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
