Kolvy Bohn Lee Smith, 26, of Desloge died Oct. 29, 2018, in Jefferson County. Mr. Smith was a carpenter and welder with GLS Contracting and a member of Christian Life Church in Farmington. Born Nov. 19, 1991, in Crystal City, he was the son of Gregory Lee Smith of Festus and the late Rayanne M. (McBride) Smith.
In addition to his father, he is survived by two sons: Blaine and Jax Smith; a daughter: Sophia Smith; a brother: Chris McBride of De Soto; his grandparents: Irma Smith Maupin of Herculaneum and Ray and Sharon McBride of Bonne Terre; his fiancee: Brittany Weathers; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Raymond Smith; and his step-grandfather: Clayton “Pug” Maupin.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Visitation is at noon and a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Bryan Smith. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington, followed by a luncheon at Christian Life Church. Memorials may be made at any First State Community Bank to the Kolvy Smith Memorial Fund to assist his children. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
