June M. Harris, 89, of Imperial died Jan. 31, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Harris earned a degree in nursing in 1953 from Jewish Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for many years in hospitals and long-term care facilities. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Born Jan. 9, 1932, in McClusky, Ill., she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Harris.
She is survived by three children: Kathryn (Mike Hanley) Scott, William (Diana) Harris and Julia Harris; three adoptive daughters: Jill Schmidt, Valinda Hood and Melissa Winkler; four grandchildren: Daniel (Jolene) Scott, Lisa (Patrick) D’Souza, Stephanie Harris and Jerami Westenberger; and 10 great-grandchildren: Blake Westenberger, Alana Westenberger, Josh Scott, Joseph Scott, Jason Scott, Sophie D’Souza, Evelyn D’Souza, Austin D’Souza, Bennett D’Souza and Clara D’Souza.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Ellen.
Memorials may be made to the Arnold Food Pantry. Arrangements were under the direction of Hoffmeister South County Chapel.
