Joan L. Carroll, 84, of O’Fallon died March 29, 2018, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur. Mrs. Carroll enjoyed spending time with grandkids, family and friends, gardening, spending time in the sun, trail riding, wintering in Arizona with her husband, Don, their mules and dogs, and watching movies.
Born March 13, 1934, in St. Clair, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Veronica (Siess) Donner. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Eugene Carroll and Don Carroll.
She is survived by seven children: Gene (Carrie) Carroll, Charlene (Chris) McGrath, Steve (Judy) Carroll, Ken (Kim) Carroll, Rhonda (Dale) Lutker, Mike (Mary) Carroll and Keith (Jennifer) Carroll; 15 grandchildren: Josh (Jonica) Carroll, Matt (Jess) Carroll, Crystal Northcutt, Jodie (Aaron) Greear, Morgan McGrath, Justin (Nicki) Carroll, Andrew Carroll, Lindsay Carroll, Jared Lutker, Julia Lutker, Zack Carroll, Blake Carroll, Brent Miller, Payton Carroll and Madison Carroll; four great-grandchildren: Evi Joe Carroll, Landon Carroll, Jonathon Carroll and Leighton Carroll; seven siblings: Leora Arnes, Jim (Gerry) Donner, Vince (Maggie) Donner, Frank (Libby) Donner, Stanley (Amelia) Donner, Eugene (Margie) Donner and Bobby (Pat) Donner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She also was preceded in death by one son: David Carroll, and one brother: Marvin Donner.
Memorial visitation will from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 13, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Funeral Mass and burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14,, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1000 Luebbering Road, in Luebbering. Memorials may be made to Evelyn’s House Hospice in Creve Coeur, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
