Jewell L. Crouch, 85, of Festus died March 15, 2018, at Barnes Medical Center in St. Louis. Mrs. Crouch was the retired production manager for the Jefferson County Daily News-Democrat and a distribution manager for the Suburban Journals of Greater St. Louis. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Festus. Born Oct. 20, 1932, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of the late Irene (Link) and Haskell Mathes.

She is survived by two sons: Tony Jerome Crouch of Mayfield, Ky., and Roman Cassius Crouch of High Ridge; a daughter: Fradena Rachelle Warren of House Springs; a longtime companion: Dale Tipton of Festus; a former husband: Fred Crouch of Festus; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Georgia Rae Hook; a son: Orville Lawrence Crouch; a sister: Willa Ruth Swinney; and three grandchildren.

Memorial gathering will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 21, at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 415 N. Mill St., in Festus, followed immediately by a memorial service officiated by Pastor Lari Grubbs. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.  Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
