Jearl Edward Turner, 67, of Crystal City died Nov. 23, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. Mr. Turner was a truck driver for Penske Logistics. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of VFW Post 3777. He also was active in the Boy Scouts of America. Born Aug. 11, 1949, in Boss, he was the son of the late Rose (Jemirson) and Daniel Douglas Turner.

He is survived by his wife: Delmyra (Highley) Turner; two daughters: Dawn Turner and Denise (Kenneth) Robertson, both of Forest Grove, Ore.; four sons: Jarrett (Rebecca Jennings) Dallas of Pevely, Jeffrey (DeeDee) Turner of Forest Grove, Travis (Sarah) Dallas of Black Jack and Daniel (Jenny) Turner of Crystal City; two sisters: Janet (the late Leroy) Moring of Hillsboro and June (Tom) Smith of Kentucky; two brothers: Gene (Lorraine) Turner of Granite City, Ill. and Lee Turner of Bourbon; 13 grandchildren: Shelbie, Sloane and Trevor Dallas, Dominic and Kayla Lichti, Owen, A.J. and Ragan Turner, Shelby and Devon Thurman, Crystal Josifek and Lindsey and Alexis Roberson; and three great-grandchildren: Chloe, Mollee and Brooklyn Josifek.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., Festus. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
