Ida Jeanette Caruthers 85, of Fenton died Nov. 22, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Caruthers was born March 22, 1937, in Flat River, the daughter of the late Lora (Kannaday) and James Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband: Donald Caruthers of Fenton; four children: Missy (Mike) Coppedge of Hernando, Miss., Denise (Rob) Tidwell of Bonne Terre, Donnie Caruthers of Arnold and Karen (Gino) West of Fenton; two brothers: David (Betty) Kennedy of Festus and Roy (Elaine) Kennedy of Bonne Terre; nine grandchildren: Felicia Spain, Michael (Brittney) Coppedge, Justin Caruthers, Jordan Caruthers, April (Cory) McKeen, Chelcie (Brandon) Taylor, Lindsey (Stacy) Tomlinson, Robbie Tidwell and Ethan Whitter; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two siblings: Jimmy Kennedy and Terry Kennedy; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled from 10:30 am until a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Mrs. Tamera Reed. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
