Howard R. Starwalt, 86, of Spring, Texas, died Sept. 19, 2022, in Houston, Texas. Mr. Starwalt was retired from the American Can Co. and served in the Navy. Born Nov. 28, 1935, in Charleston, he was the son of the late Mary Elson and Ray Starwalt.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Shirley Carreau Starwalt of Spring, Texas; five children: Kevin Starwalt of Tomball, Texas, Rebecca (Brian) Koop of Spring, Texas, Steven (Koko) Starwalt of Seattle, Wash., Ronald (Terri) Starwalt of De Soto and Richard (Will) Starwalt of St. Louis; one sibling: Anna Schenewerk of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Willard, Paul, Marion and Harold Starwalt.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Cypress Creek Christian Church, 6823 Cypresswood Drive., in Spring, Texas.
