Henry W. Macke, 93, of Imperial died Feb. 24, 2016, in St. Charles. Mr. Macke worked as a machinist for Ameren Electric and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving on the USS Intrepid. He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a life member of American Legion Post 283, a longtime Khoury League coach and an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Born July 6, 1922, in Leopold, he was the son of the late Henry and Francis (Seller) Macke. 

He was preceded in death by his wife: Pauline (Clark) Macke.

He is survived by two sons: Mark (Laurie) Macke of St. Charles and Timothy (Natalie) Macke of Parker, Colo.; two daughters: Beverly (James) Ainsley of Grainger, Ind.; and Susan Macke of Imperial; and a daughter-in-law: Mary Macke.

He was preceded in death by two sons: Robert Stephen Macke and James Macke.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial. Burial will be at St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
