Jackie Bishop, 91, of De Soto died May 30, 2014, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mrs. Bishop was a beautician. Born June 7, 1922, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Richard A. and Lena A. (Fickert) Wood. She was preceded in death by three husbands: George A. Ponzar Jr., Lysle Filkins and Harold Bishop.
She is survived by three children: Regina (Earl) Casey of Bloomsdale, Richard A. “Rick” (Terry) Ponzar of Festus and George A. (Cheryl) Ponzar III of Cadet; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held June 2 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Greg McCord. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
