Gary O. Greer, 82, of Barnhart died Jan. 29, 2022, at his home. Mr. Greer was a professional truck driver and a member of the American Truck Historical Society. Born March 4, 1939, in Chester, Ill., he was the son of the late Ruth (Knowles) and Chester Greer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years: Antoinette (Brady) Greer.
He is survived by four children: Gary A. (Cindy) Greer of Imperial, Kirk A. (Anna) Greer of High Ridge, Robert A. (Patty) Greer of Edwardsville, Ill., and Steven J. (Katie) Greer of Ballwin; a brother: Richard A. Greer of St. Charles; 10 grandchildren: Katie (Neal) Chadbourne of Barnhart, Kellie (Anthony) Dennis of Arnold, Kristy (James) Henson of Barnhart, Kyle Greer of St. Louis, Tyler Greer of High Ridge, Brianna Greer of Bethalto, Ill., Kara Greer of Fenton, Steven Greer of Ballwin, John Greer of Carollton, Texas, and Mary Greer of Ballwin; and 10 great-grandchildren: Charlie Chadbourne, Grace Chadbourne, Alaina Chadbourne, Jordan Dennis, Alyssa Dennis, Natalie Dennis, Poppy Henson, Evie Henson, Jacob Greer and Kysen Greer.
Funeral services were private. Burial was in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Humane Society, 1201 Macklind Ave., St. Louis 63110. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home in south St. Louis County.
