Garold Scott Doyle, 57, formerly of Ballwin died June 19, 2020, at Community Manor in Farmington. Mr. Doyle worked in the food industry. A graduate of Parkway South High School, he was a member of Ballwin Baptist Church. During his service in the U.S. Army he was a Specialist E-4 and a medic in South Korea who later was assigned to Fort Dix in New Jersey, and he earned an Expert Rifle Marksmanship Badge and numerous ribbons. After his service he worked in the food industry. He loved fishing, especially deep-sea fishing. Born April 24, 1963, in Washington, he was the son of Mary Lee (Hammond) Doyle Murphy of Fenton and the late Kenneth Daniel Doyle.

He is survived by five children: Christie L. Doyle, Matthew S. (Molly) Doyle, William D. Doyle, James E. Doyle and Katherine M.L. (Brandon) Kessler; their mother: Leigh A. Doyle Frazier; his maternal grandmother: Mary A. Hammond Cardwell of Sullivan; five grandchildren: Jackson T., Elijah M., Scarlett Ann-Rose and Elaina Ann Doyle and Mackenzie Grace Kessler; two sisters: Lisa M. Wapelhorst of Washington and Beverly L. Murphy of Nashville, Tenn.; two stepbrothers: Michael R. Murphy of St. Louis and Stephen M. (Jenny) Murphy of Nashville; three uncles: David F. (Cheryl) Hammond of Mexico, Mo., George Michael Doyle of Topeka, Kan., and Jeff Hartwig of Rosebud; a niece: Jessica A. (Chad) Hicks of Arnold; a nephew: Jeronimo McArthur of Nashville; and numerous family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather: Morris Murphy; his grandfathers: William Lee Hammond and Kimber Kenneth Doyle; his paternal grandmother: Marjorie Enola Doyle Durham; an aunt: Martha Carol Hartwig; and two brothers-in-law: Timothy Wapelhorst and Mike McArthur.

Graveside service with full military honors was held June 25 at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Anna Dodson Home, 4616 Hwy. D, Farmington 63640; or the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250. Arrangements were under the direction of Coplin Funeral Home.
