Father Eugene Roy Harrison, 62, of Kansas City died Feb. 2, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospice Care Center in Kansas City. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduating from high school and earned a degree in political science from San Jose State University. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2001, serving in Grand Rapids, Mich., and New Orleans, La., before he was assigned in 2015 to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Church in Kansas City. He was born June 21, 1958, in Richland, Wash.
Funeral Mass was held Feb. 6 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Church, Kansas City. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Redemptorist Cemetery in Liguori. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes, Festus.
