Doris Jean (Rothe) Burton, 78, of Hillsboro died June 18, 2021, de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis County. Mrs. Burton was a member of the Organ Club and enjoyed cooking, painting, gardening, and scuba diving. She was born April 21, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She is survived by her husband: John Charles Burton of Hillsboro; a son: Robert (Dorothy) Christeson of Overland Park, Kan.; two stepdaughters: Lisa Anne (Randy) Christian of Wright City and Jeanne Marie Burton of Overland; a grandson: Matthew Christeson of Lebanon, Tenn.; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Robert Christeson.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. until a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus, officiated by Josh Kilpatrick. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
