Donna C. Govero, 63, Imperial, formerly of Tiff died Jan. 5, 2022, in Imperial. Mrs. Govero had worked at Orscheln Farm and Home and Walmart in De Soto. Born May 16, 1958, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of Audrey “Dutchie” (Eckhoff) Elsey and Clarence Walton.
She is survived by her husband: Marlon “Jeff” Govero; a son: Jesse Govero of Blackwell; six sisters: Phyllis (Ken Tullock) Govero of Tiff, Joyce (Bernard) Portell of Eldon, Peggy West of Imperial, Ava (Michael) Pennock of De Soto, Gina (Mark) Kite of Dapne, Ala., and Latty Katz of De Soto; two brothers: Jerry (Pat) Elsey of Kentucky and Steve (Jacqueline) Elsey of Herculaneum; four grandchildren: Madison Govero, Lucas Vuichard, Kaleb Beck and Jacob Govero; and a great-grandchild: Raegen Govero.
She was preceded in death by a son: Corey Govero; a sister: Della Bourbon; two brothers: Phillip Elsey and Norman Elsey; two sisters-in-law: Ruth Elsey and Carol Elsey; and four brothers-in-law: Phil Govero, Bruce West, Jeffrey Katz and Frank Bourbon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, followed immediately by funeral services. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
