Davey Mayo, 88, of De Soto died March 4, 2020, at his home. Mr. Mayo worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Local 600. He served in the U.S. Army. Born March 4, 1932, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Finis and Dessie (Branch) Mayo. He is survived by his wife: Barbara Ann (Wood) Mayo; two sons: Bryan (Patti) Mayo Sr. of Cedar Hill and Timothy Mayo of south St. Louis County; a daughter: Lisa (Scott) Stinehart of House Springs; five grandchildren: Bryan (Starla) Mayo Jr. of Festus, McKenzie Mayo of Cedar Hill, Steven Stinehart of Lemay, Matthew Stinehart of Byrnes Mill and Ethan Stinehart of House Springs; and four great-grandchildren: Alex, Gage, Keaton and Delaney.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday, March 6, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County, officiated by Pastor Terry Crank. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
