Darlene Patricia Ross, 58, of Madison, Ill., died Feb. 2, 2015, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Ross had been a bus driver for Granite City Schools before retiring. She loved spending time with her family and motorcycling. She and her husband were members of the Stone Celts motorcycle club and H.O.G. chapter of O’Fallon, Ill. Born July 29, 1956, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Patricia (Malone) Fairbanks.
Survivors include her husband: Kim A. Ross of Madison, whom she married April 22, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nev.; a son: Dennis Ross of Troy, Ill.; a daughter: Kristie Lynn (Brandon) Stuart of Imperial; six grandchildren: Paige and Logan Ross, and Kylee, Aubrey, Kimberlie and Bailee Stuart; a sister: Denise Fairbanks of St. Louis; and two brothers: Daniel Fairbanks of Mishawaka, Ind.; and Derrick Fairbanks of Palatine, Ill.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Denny Fairbanks.
The family will hold a memorial gathering from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at Eddie's Bar & Grill, 2900 Nameoki, Granite City, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wojstrom Funeral Home and Crematory in Granite City, Ill.
