Darlene Kay Dunn-Grimshaw, 48, of Festus died Feb. 13, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Dunn-Grimshaw was a retired science teacher at Seckman Middle School, Ridgewood Middle School and Seckman High School in the Fox C-6 School District. She was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association and attended Our Lady Catholic Church in Festus. Born Nov. 28, 1967, in Potosi, she was the daughter of the late Hazel (Faulkerson) and Gerald Dunn.
She is survived by her husband: Donald Grimshaw; four daughters: Chelsea (Spencer) Evans of Tomah, Wis., Casey (Aaron) Parker of Festus, Cara Grimshaw of Festus and Emma Grimshaw of Festus; a sister: Loretta (Jackie) Dunn-White of Festus; a brother: Fred (Tonya) Dunn of Festus; a sister-in-law: Karen Dunn of Potosi; her mother-in-law: Patricia Grimshaw of Herculaneum; and her father-in-law: Gerard (Millie) Grimshaw of Edgewater, Fla. She was preceded in death by a sister: Sandy (the late Sam) Turnbough; and two brothers: Steve (the late Judy) Dunn and Gregory Dunn.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home, officiated by Father Jeffrey Maassen. Burial is in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
