Bobby Dean Jones, 60, of Festus died June 23, 2021, at his home. Mr. Jones was a fleet service technician for St. Louis Metro Police Department for 40 years and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Festus. He loved grilling, camping, floating, fishing, family parties, music and especially his dog, Hope. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Born May 11, 1961, in St. Louis, he was the son of Betty Lou (Cheatham) Jones of Dexter and the late Bobby Carl Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife: Tammy (Wells) Jones.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by six daughters: Cindel Marie (Jerry) Smith of Festus, Stephanie Paige Nicole (Lemmy) Merseal of Columbus, Ga., Michelle Katherine (Dylan Vincent) Jones of Festus, Hannah Lillian (Joey Westhoelter) Jones of Festus, Jessica Ann Poe of St. Louis and Ashley Marie (Eric) Roach of St. Louis; three sons: Bradley Slade of Bonne Terre, Marcus Slade of Clarksville, Tenn., and Dustin Warren of Clayton; three brothers: Donnie Jones of St. Louis County, Gary (Ellen) Jones of Hillsboro and Anthony Rango of Hillsboro; two sisters: Sharon (Bob) Jones-Meredith of Cedar Hill and Tanya (Carl) Jones-Campbell of Festus; and 10 grandchildren: Shyanne, Nolan, Brayden, Noah, Madilynn, Hudson, Emmy, Tyler, Sadie and Charlie. He was preceded in death by a brother: Michael Jones.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus, officiated by Pastor Greg McCord. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN., 38105-9959. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
