Bernice S. Holstein, 91, of Fort Myers, Fla., died Feb. 2, 2022, at Joanne’s House of Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, Fla. Mrs. Holstein worked at several upscale dress shops and became a model while attending college to obtain her real estate license. She then became quite successful as a realtor, being active in the Million Dollar Sales Club and serving as its president in 1980. She was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Richwoods, the daughter of the late Charles F. and Bridgett (Kerr) Sansoucie. She was preceded in death by her husband: Carl J. Holstein Jr.
She is survived by a sister: Martha Jane Saunders of Cadet; and 66 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 12 siblings: Leo J Sansoucie Sr., Agnes E. Wagstaff, Dorthy Micke, Edna Brown, Virgil Sansoucie, Iona Boyer, Evelyn Meecey, Grace Wilkinson, Calvin Sansoucie, Charles Sansoucie, Maggie Wideman and Earl Sansoucie.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Richwoods,. Burial is in the St. Stephen’s Cemetery
